What we did on our wedding anniversary
Our day was amazing...
We started off at Hotel Nordica for a brunch. It was really great food. We decided to come seperately to make it more exciting and it was. I showed up with the the brúðarslör...heheh.. can't remember right now what it's called in English. People were turning head...that's when Addi knew I was coming.
Afterwards I took him home for romantice bath. It was very relaxing...then I had recreated the wedding spirit in one of small bedroom; candles, shells... everything! It was really great. Maybe we'll just leave the room as it is.
Then I prepared a picnic and I took him out for a surprice bikeride close to the beach. I bought a kite at Tiger (cheap) and it didn't really work 'cause it was too windy, but it was fun. Then we biked for 15 minutes down to Sjávarkjallarinn, a really fancy seafood restaurant. I thought it was two for one, but it was only 20% off...hehe... who cares, you only live one. The food was amazing, especially the bread and the olive oil and the nuts they had with it.
I would do it all over again! We ran into one of the couples who were on the wedding show last year. They got married on the same day as we did. She's pregnant, according to the book they said. How lucky is that.
Not very many people congratulated us on our day, I guess Icelanders are not really into things like that. After all, what matters is that it's OUR special day.
Tomorrow friends are inviting us over for dinner for the occation. Can't wait.....
