Curitiba and Rio de Janeiro - English summary from our trip (see first one in English below)

Curitiba was absolutely fantastic. We met many people of Icelandic descent and we are looking for more. The aim is to create a program for them like the Snorri Program. The problem of course is sponsorship number one and the other being the language. Most of the people only speak Portuguese. Addi and I have started studying the language and we´ve bought many books. We also want to bring a group of Icelanders over here, English is no good over here although it helps. My Spanish has helped a lot, altough the languages are not entirely the same.

We also went to a town called Florianapólis by the south coast. It´s on an island actually. The traffic over there was terrible but we got there eventually. There we met the Barddal people, with ancestry in Bardardalur in the North of Iceland. They were very nie in every way and very rich. Although it doesn´t matter to us, but their success shows the strong character of the Icelanders. They have a university called the Barddal institute or something like that.

We´ve been in Rio since Tuesday and mostly we have been relaxing. We are so red from the sun it´s not even funny. The sun is the stongest I´ve ever experienced.
